Carol is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Dothan, Alabama.
With over 30 years experience as a psychotherapist, and as a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater specializing in reality-based and cognitive-behavioral therapy, she is currently serving as
a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress
disorder, eating disorders, stress and anger management. She has helped clients manage issues relating to family conflict and changes including divorce, remarriage, grief and loss, substance abuse and recovery,
and personal trauma relating to childhood and domestic abuse.
Carol is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and
techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to

Carol graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and completed an internship through the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She worked as a school counselor in Wisconsin for many years before moving with her family to
Oklahoma. After several more years of school counseling, she completed her national and state certification to gain licensure for private practice. Originally certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors in 1984, she was
licensed as a Professional Counselor by the state of Oklahoma in 1996. After again moving with her family to Alabama and gaining licensure through the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling, she joined a private practice
group in 2000 and since October, 2007 continues to enjoy an indendent practice office.
Carol has had additional training in alcohol and other substance abuse, eating disorders and other compulsive disorders, attention deficit disorders, mediation and conflict resolution, and personal and group crisis management
interventions. She has experience working with schools, community agencies, and medical resources.
Carol has memberships in American Counseling Association, Alabama Counseling Association, and National Board of Certified Counselors.
